A musical talent
I enjoy music like most people, today I got to talk to someone who makes music, Chris French. This man has the talent to take him a long way in the music world.
So how did you get into playing music “It really began out of boredom during the summer between fifth and 6th grade, I have uncles who play, so it runs in the family, now it’s my passion and love” Chris said.
Having Chris in the 6th grade I remember him playing in the Hubbard Talent Contest, what surprised me was how good he was at such a young age. How long did it take you to get good, “It took about six months of hard practice, in the talent show I played a guitar solo from an old Queen song. Since then it’s grown, I play pretty much every night and I now have 5 electric guitars, one acoustic, one electric bass and a ukulele”
“I play in the Orchestra too, primarily the stand-up bass and in competitions this year I won 1st chair in Regionals and in City competitions”
“It’s been a good experience for me, I’ve learned self-discipline and that to get good at something you have to put in the time and practice”
