Behind the Lens with Caleb Franks

I’ve always enjoyed photography; I remember getting my first camera in the fourth grade, and taking pictures of everything. One of my Tech Team members Caleb Franks is also a photographer, a very skilled one at that. Talking one day he told me that when he was 8 a cousin wanted to make a movie and wanted Caleb in the film. He became hooked on photography ever since. “My dad got me a Canon EOS 60d and I go around taking pictures of everything, I get on Google and YouTube to learn new techniques, then I go out and practice them, I take thousands of pictures, because I enjoy it”
Not only is he a skilled photographer, he has branched out to video as well, “I’ve always loved movies, but I always wanted to know what was happening behind the camera, directing is difficult, it takes a lot of planning and responsibility, you have to communicate your vision clearly to the people you’re working with, and the better you treat them, the better you get out of people”
